Kanika Govil

Kanika Govil,
Registered Physiotherapist

Kanika Govil is our new resident PT. She has more than 14 years of experience in the field of physiotherapy. Kanika completed her Masters in Physiotherapy in the field of Neurology from India in 2008 and has practiced as a Licensed PT in USA for almost 7 years before she moved to Canada 2 years back.

She has experience in dealing with musculoskeletal injuries, sport related injuries, Post traumatic ortho and neuro cases. She is dedicated towards the well being of her patients and works towards achieving their goals in the journey of rehabilitation.

She is certified in Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and is also a certified NDT practitioner. She is planning to work on certification in Pelvic health and acupuncture. She believes in Evidence based practice and is always involved in upgrading her practice by learning new techniques.

She is mother of 2 lovely daughters and outside work enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Rukshana Solanki

Rukshana Solanki,

Certified in Acupunctre and Concussion therapy

Rukshana Solanki has always had a special interest in anatomy and how the body works, so a career in physiotherapy was a logical choice for her.

She is dedicated to helping her patients get back to the sports and regular physical activities that they enjoy and finds joy herself in being active and helping her patients.

She graduated in 2009 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India and achieved her Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree. She also received a diploma in fitness and health promotion from Humber College, Toronto.

She is planning to work on certification in manual therapy and hand therapy.

After graduation, she gained experience in her field working in India for two years in hospital and private clinic settings. She gained further experience working in private practice as well as a community centre in Canada.

She achieved her certification in vestibular rehabilitation.

She specializes in taking a hands-on approach to help patients achieve optimal recovery. She is a concussion specialist and is experienced in treating motor vehicle accident clients, sports injuries, and pre and post-operative clients.

She believes in active therapy and encourages her clients’ involvement to reach their health goals.

When she is not working, she enjoys yoga, meditation, hiking, biking and being with nature.

A continual learner, she also enjoys watching health tip videos and updating her knowledge.

Ravi Pandya

Ravi Pandya,

Certified in Acupucture, Concussion and Vestibular therapy

Ravi Pandya started helping his clients achieve their physical best as a fitness trainer. An urge to do even more for them guided him into professional health care in the role of a licensed physiotherapist.

He achieved his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree, in India, followed by achieving his diploma in fitness and health promotion from Humber College in Toronto. Further training came from the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) and an IEHP Course with the University of Toronto.

Dedicated to continual learning, Ravi also acquired certifications in Maitland Mobilization, Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation, Concussion Shift, Acupuncture, Tapping, and Customized Orthotics.

He is currently working on his certification for Advanced Manual Therapy.

A member in good standing of the Ontario College of Physiotherapy, Ravi gained experience in his profession in orthopedic hospitals in India and in both private and public clinic settings in Ontario.

His specialties include manual therapy, exercise programs, acupuncture, vestibular rehabilitation (BPPV), concussion management, balance training, tapping, work-related injuries, repetitive strain injuries, sports injuries, mobilization, patient education and ergonomic advice, and chronic pain.

His philosophy of care is to encourage his patients to be active partners in their own recovery. They are given prescribed exercises to do between visits to the clinic to assist in their recovery.

When he is not working, he enjoys biking as well as soccer and cricket.

Saloni Desai

Saloni Desai,
Physiotherapist Assistant/Front desk

Saloni Desai is our Physiotherapy Assistant. She has experience in administrating pain relieving modalities and demonstrating exercises. She assists our Physiotherapists and Resident Physiotherapists to carry out clients treatment safely and help clients achieve their rehab goals. When not working at the back, you will see her answering phone calls at the front and welcoming you to the clinic with big smile.

 She also holds a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy, is a certified aerobics instructor from India. She has completed her health, wellness, and fitness from Mohawk College. She has physiotherapy assistant experience in a nursing home ,hospital setup and out patient clinics in canada. She has worked as an assistant lecturer in her internship in Hamilton where she has taught students how to perform yoga, meditation, and fitness through Community Integration via Cooperative Education (CICE).

There may be some soreness, the belief is to find the enjoyable side of healing. She loves to work with a variety of people and constantly adapt the program to the needs of patients.


She can keep scribbling walls if given as painting is her favourite hobby although after work all she loves to do is spend time with her little cat Cosmo.

Wendy

Wendy,
Front Desk

Wendy graduated from Medix in 2012 in the Medical Office Administrator program with honours. She enjoys helping people and has always wanted to work in family
practice. She has been a dedicated Girl Guide Leader for the past twenty years. She works part-time evenings with us and has a full-time job in a doctor's office. 

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
